  1. I had one of those in my garden in Caboolture – he lived next door and had only come into our yard because next door was looking after a dog for a few days. I thought it was a stick at first but when I went to investigate it puffed itself up and made its way behind the shed.

  2. We do have the Blue-tongued goanna as well — which is fat and stumpie-tailed. And it really does have a blue tongue! I came across its cast-off skin the other day, but I don't see it very often.
