One nice thing about Launceston – all these photos were taken within a kilometre or so, just a short walk from the city centre. That’s right; it must be one of the few cities in the world that has a gorge bang slap in the middle.

Oh you were one minute from where I live!!!! The Gorge is fabulous did you go on the chairlift?? And the suspension bridge??? In Summer they release all the water from the dam and have wild water kayaking in the Gorge!!
It is hard to believe this is what the first European settlers faced, and it hasn't really changed much.
