Very true, most animals are not that happy being shoved in kennels or something, although years ago, I had three German Shepherds who absolutely loved the place I used to leave them and would virtually jump for joy the minute they registered where they were going. It was almost difficult to get them to come back home. They would run into the kennel grounds without remembering to say goodbye or anything similar.

I wish I had a cat, Jo. But I haven’t had one since we left Vienna. We travel so much, and it just wouldn’t be fair to the cat.
