The last few days has been spectacular. By April the larger birds have dwindled, but the smaller raptors are still passing.

I once read a sci fi book where the last animal on the planet was a mouse which was in a cage in his one room apartment. Finally the government demanded he got rid of it. I have a horror of that happening to the generations of the future.
